RTE Brainstorm: an excellent platform for researchers

RTÉ Brainstorm a platform for the academic and research community to contribute to public debate, reflect on what’s happening in the world around us and communicate fresh thinking on a broad range of issues.

We have been working with researchers, helping them to contribute to RTE’s Brainstorm for a while now. For the most part, people know what they want to say, all they need is a little bit of editing help and a fresh eye. The platform is a great way for people who are interested in becoming thought leaders and public commentators on issues to air their views and to experience that sensation of sending an opinion out into the public domain (it’s really not that bad!).

Much to our delight, Insight researchers are beginning to do this themselves. This month alone, we have Lucas Azevedo writing about how to beat fake news with algorithms, and Niall Ó Brolcháin discussing the possibility of an electronic backstop in the event of Brexit.
